Nacelle Sales adds an AI shopping assistant to your Shopify storefront. It appears as a chat widget and handles pre-purchase conversations with shoppers — answering product questions, helping with discovery, and guiding them toward a purchase.

How do I install Nacelle Sales?

Install Nacelle Sales from the Shopify App Store and grant the permissions Shopify requests. The chat widget appears on your storefront automatically once you enable it — no theme code changes required.

How do I set up brand voice?

In the Nacelle Sales section of your Shopify admin, go to the Brand Voice page. Describe your brand's tone and personality in your own words, then save. This is a one-time setup step.

Already have a brand voice or style guide? You can paste it straight into the editor instead of starting from scratch. Markdown is supported.

Helpful things to include:

  • Tone — e.g. friendly and casual, or polished and professional
  • Personality — a few traits that define your brand (playful, expert, minimal, bold)
  • Words and phrases you like to use — or ones to avoid
  • What to emphasize — e.g. sustainability, craftsmanship, value, fast shipping

Nacelle Sales applies your brand voice in conversations with shoppers.

When a shopper uses the image upload, what formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP. Shoppers can include text alongside the photo (e.g., “I'm looking for something like this but in black”).

Does the assistant know about my store policies?

Yes. Nacelle Sales automatically loads your store policies from Shopify on install — returns, shipping, and other policies you've published. No manual setup required.

What analytics are available?

The Nacelle Sales dashboard in your Shopify admin shows: AOV, conversion rate, session percentage, and Nacelle attributed value.

Can I disable the chat widget?

Yes. You can enable or disable the widget from the Nacelle Sales app in your Shopify admin. When disabled, the chat widget is removed from your storefront.

What languages does Nacelle Sales support?

English only at this time.

How is Nacelle Sales different from Nacelle Recommend?

Both apps help shoppers find the right products in your store, but they're built for different needs.

  • Nacelle Sales is a conversational chat widget powered by an AI assistant. Shoppers can ask detailed questions — “Do you have anything like this in black?”, “Is this compatible with my model?”, “What's your return policy?” — and get answers, recommendations, and the ability to add items to their cart through the chat. It's great for stores with large product catalogs or technically complex products, where shoppers often have questions before buying.
  • Nacelle Recommend shows product recommendations on your product pages, cart, checkout, and thank-you pages, plus add-to-cart upsells. Shoppers can add items to their cart directly from the recommendations — no chat required. It's a simpler, more lightweight option that adds product discovery without the conversational layer.

If your shoppers tend to research, compare, and ask questions before purchasing, Sales is a great fit. If you want product recommendations without a chat layer, Recommend is the lighter-weight option.
