What does Product Recommendations do?

Product Recommendations adds a carousel of recommended products to the cart and checkout pages of your Shopify store. The carousel copy is written in your brand's voice — configurable during setup — so recommendations feel consistent with the rest of your storefront.

The recommendation logic itself is not AI-driven. AI is only used to generate brand-voice copy during configuration; at runtime the app serves recommendations based on your store's product catalog and the shopper's current cart context.

Where does the carousel appear?

On the cart page and the checkout page. Exact placement is configurable in the app's settings inside your Shopify admin.

How do I install and configure it?

Install Product Recommendations from the Shopify App Store, grant the permissions Shopify requests, and follow the in-app setup steps to configure brand voice and carousel placement.

Can I customize how it looks or what it says?

Yes. Brand-voice copy is configurable in the app settings, and the carousel's visual styling adapts to your theme.

The carousel isn't showing up on my store. What do I check?
  1. Confirm the app is installed and shows as "Active" in your Shopify admin under Apps.
  2. Check that the carousel is enabled in the app's settings for the page where you expect it to appear (cart, checkout, or both).
  3. Clear your storefront cache and view the page in a private / incognito window to rule out cached theme assets.
  4. If it's still not visible, email support@nacelle.com with your shop URL and we'll investigate.
How do I uninstall the app?

From your Shopify admin, go to Apps, find Product Recommendations, and choose Uninstall. Shopify will revoke the app's access and notify us; we delete your shop's data as described in our privacy policy.
